Humberto Padoan, founder and President of Garpa Co was born in Brazil and studied business as an undergraduate at University of Fecea, Parana, Brazil.  His postgraduate degree (MBA) was in Information management and business, London, UK. He initially started working as a foreign trader/exporter in Brazil and moved to the natural stone business in 2002, as a buyer for Arizona Tile in Vitoria, Espirito Santos. He remained in the same role, but changed to Finstone/Stone Connection in 2004, and was ultimately transferred to the US branch in Norcross, Georgia in 2008. He subsequently founded Garpa Co, Savannah, Georgia in 2014. Padoan brings almost 20  years of knowledge regarding sourcing, purchasing and exporting of natural stone from all around the world. He has maintained close ties with his  Brazilian, Italian, Indian, Spanish  suppliers thereby allowing for preferential choice and easy point of access to material. Garpa Co is situated in the heart of Savannah, close to one of the biggest ports in the USA.
